Caring for Glass

Glass should be cleaned regularly, and depending on the usage, should be cleaned on a daily basis. Using a generic class cleaner is usually enough; always check with the manufacturer to make sure a product is acceptable for use, as certain films, finishes, etc. need to be cared for a certain way. If you have a glass shower or bath enclosure, it is also a good idea to apply a protective coating, which will help prevent buildup and clouding.

Caring for Chrome Finishes

Chrome is a soft metal, and is a popular finish because of how bright and reflective it is. Because it is so soft, it scratches easily; items are rarely sold chrome, but rather are chrome-plated. Chrome-Plated items should be dusted regularly with a soft cloth, such as microfiber, to keep it bright and avoid scratching. If it appears to be dirty or dull, it should be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild soap or water. If soap and water doesn’t quite do the trick, some vinegar should remove any residue. Avoid using abrasive materials as they will leave scratches and dull the finish
